I've been married now for 12 years and I've been coming here continuously since 1977. So I've made, I guess, 26 or 27 in a row and I guess I remember when I was an undergrad it was always a big deal; we got excited about it. Back then, the drinking age was 18 and they used to have a lot of parties in the evening after Ag Field Day. One of the things I remember that stands out in my mind is they used to have a tug-of-war over by Passion Puddle and a friend of mine got pulled in Passion Puddle and he got soaking wet. That's one of the memories. Now my 10-year-old daughter is coming here too. She first started coming here when she was 4 months old.
The weather always seems to be really nice. I only remember it raining 3 or 4 times over the years that I've been coming. It has a lot of memories. I see fewer and fewer people that I recognize.
A lot more building and construction over the years. A lot of the majors are the same. I saw the Food Science Building was a lot smaller when I was here and there was no Coastal and Marine Sciences, so that's all new. Bartlett and Martin are all the same. The general landscaping is all the same
What was always nice about going to Rutgers is you go to a large state university like Rutgers , but still be a small enough school to still know everybody. I guess we had about 300 in my graduating class. I don't know if they keep those same numbers now. I liked it here so much that I came back for graduate school here.
