Participating Students
The Cook History Project was begun in the Fall semester of
2003. The groundwork was laid by Cook College students. As
the project grows in scope and in time the number of students
involved with the project will grow. Their contributions will
be noted and biographies will be posted on this page to give
them the credit they so deserve.

Kymberlee
Ann Mitala
Hey, what's up? My name is Kymberlee
Ann Mitala. By the time I am officially graduated, January
2004, I will have completed a total of 4.5 years (9 semesters)
at Cook College, majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring
in Natural Resource Management. During my 4.5 years as an
undergraduate at Cook, I've been actively involved with the
community, exhibiting much enthusiasm and participation in
the RU Outdoors Club (RUOC), Alpha Zeta (AZ), Cook Leadership
Council and Deans' Steering Committee, and intramural sports
offered at the Cook/Douglass Recreation Center. As you might
guess, from the activities I'm involved in, I am adventurous
and active, enjoy serving the community, and feel the most
satisfied when I am up-to-date on community events and activities.
My involvement with the Cook History Project has not only
widened my perspective on the Cook College Community, it has
brought me closer to faculty/staff/alumni/students and given
me an even bigger sense of belonging. I look forward to becoming
an active alumni while pursuing a career in medicine and ecology.
Robert
John Teeter Jr.
I'm
a recent transfer to Cook College, having spent freshman year
at Bucknell University (Lewisburg, PA) and sophomore year at
Brookdale Community College (Lincroft, NJ). I began my college
career as a dedicated Geology major, until I met Calculus
II and realized that a degree in the sciences might require
a bit too much math. Consequently, I became interested in the
field of Environmental Policy and Law, but unfortunately Bucknell
University did not offer such a degree. Enter Rutgers University
and Cook College into the picture. The Cook History project
has become a crash course for me on the history, significance
and honor associated with the college. I am an EPIB (Environmental
Policy, Institutions and Behavior) major with aspirations
of one day running my own environmental consulting firm and
doing field and labwork to better New Jersey's development.
In my spare time, I have been active in two local astronomy
clubs (STAR, Middletown, NJ; ASTRA, Toms River, NJ) and am
currently the Treasurer of the Rutgers Astronomy club. I also
run my own business, Teeter's Telescopes, where I design,
build and sell telescopes (partial telescope pictured with
me at right).
